  • Project Lead The Way 2008 Awarded Vendor – GLED was awarded the 2008 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) contract for the entire United States. PLTW is a pre-engineering program for US high schools that was created to encourage more students to take on engineering courses in post secondary education. GLED started supplying schools with the high-end multimedia power workstations used for the PLTW program in 2004. Each year PLTW selects a new awarded vendor for the program, but with or without this designation GLED continues to provide schools with quality PLTW certified computers based on the successful relationships that have been built over the last 6 years.

  • Program Management Skills – In 1994 GLED won a Federal subcontract for 6,000 PCs from a Tier 1 PC manufacturer. Additional contracts from this customer added another 9,000 PCs. This company could not meet the stringent hardware stability or customization needs of the federal end user so they outsourced the business to GLED. This relationship provided GLED with new tools and processes for dealing with large project opportunities. Born out of this project was GLED’s quality program, which continues to deliver the most reliable computers in the industry. GLED has since leveraged what they learned unto their entire base of business, and now each customer enjoys the same high degree of attention and responsiveness.
